In this episode of Transcending Sport @saragross talks to former professional triathlete @janellemorrisonJanelle shares her story about how a hideous car accident gave her a renewed perspective on sport, life and balance.

Six years ago, Janelle Morrison was a professional Ironman triathlete. In 2010, everything came to a halt in a near-fatal car accident. Two years later, she made an impossible recovery and came back to race again, placing 3rd in the elite division at Ironman Canada.  It was an amazing feat, yet as she crossed the finish line she realized that she was still missing life.  A singular focus on results, what other people thought of her, and a deep need to prove something was taking all the joy and fulfillment out of the process.  After a lifetime of extreme activity Janelle discovered the joy of stillness.
