In the second volume of Caroline Akrill's vivid and realistic trilogy set in the tough world of Three Day Eventing, Elaine has found her potential event horse and her career is being sponsored by the eccentric and impecunious Henrietta and Nigella Fane, in lieu of wages. In Chapter 2, Elaine and the Fanes begin preparations for the The Comet's first race. The music Girls and Horses is by Templeton Thompson and available on her website and on iTunes.

Eventer's Dream is the first volume of Caroline Akrill's trilogy following Elaine's ambition to reach the top in Three Day Eventing. Vivid and realistic, life with horses is portrayed with real knowledge and sympathy. There is mud - and occasional blood - and the characters, both human and equine, are amusing, heroic, eccentric and, occasionally, rather sad.  In Chapter 17,  Elaine goes to claim her dream event horse but soon finds out that someone has been scheming behind her back in this concluding episode. Special thanks to Templeton Thompson for her song Girls and Horses, which is available on her website and on iTunes.
